Brilliant pictures, and especially the first one :) Would love to know how you can make such a picture. Black background and special liighting?

Pictures where taken at F10 outside at night with the back round 5 meters away. Lighting was with one 580EX from each side and manual flash-power. Camera was 1Ds3 16-35 at 35mm 1/200s
