Canon EOS Rebel T4i/650D Touchscreen Information



  • With a simple touch menu selection and auto-focus area selection, zoom in and out of the picture can be more convenient and can be used.

  • By adopting Clearview LCD on the LCD even in bright outdoor viewing pictures is easy.

This could actually end up being pretty cool...hadn't thought of it being an easier way to set AF points.

I wish they'd put a swivel touchscreen on the 5DIII.

... you can flip it to protect the screen when not in use.

Is it a captive or a resistive touch screen? Resistive is cheaper to produce. It makes a huge difference in ease of use. Your phone has a captive screen, responds to light touches. I have a Lumix GF2, it has a resistive screen, you have to really press it, so much that they even include a stylus when you buy it. I don't find it useful at all, even for choosing focus points. I use the physical buttons instead.

The thing that worries me about a touch screen is that I am left eyed, what happens to it when I put the camera up to my eye and my nose presses against the rear screen?
