Ignorance in converting RAW to a JPG or TIff
(1/1)
bohaiboy:
So let's say I shoot all RAW. DO I have to process EVERY image to make it useable or does LR/RAW7 etc auto convert to an image similar to what the in-camera software would have done? In other words if I take 5000 pics, I choose 150 I want to process further, how will the others look converted to TIFF or JPEG(let's assume Canon DPP)
Thanks all.
wickidwombat:
lets say your 150 shots consist of 3 different lighting scenarios with different exposures iso etc of 50 shots each
basically you can process 1 from each "type" of shot then copy paste the settings to the rest bingo all processed you can then further refine individual ones if you want maybe there were some subtle exposure differences
then you batch process them all to pump out the jpgs
thats the very brief version
this book will go into massive detail for lightroom
i highly recomend getting it and reading it
