Canon 35 f/1.4 II?
« on: June 16, 2012, 03:05:14 PM »
I have the 35mm and am wondering if I should sell it. Also how much should I sell it for? It's been used like twice and I still have the box and packaging! Thanks!

You do know that no 35L II has been announced, right?  You are aware of Canon's recent terrible record of delivering on lenses that actually have been announced, right?

I have a 35L, but I'll buy yours for $50. How's that for a price?

Seriously, check eBay, Craigslist, Fredmiranda.
EOS 1D X, EOS 7D, and lots of lenses

If you do not use the one you have, sell it.  If a replacement comes out in a year or five, you likely will not use it either.

The price varies, I bought one complete with box, etc for $800 on Craigslist last spring.  They sell for $1000-1200 more or less on ebay, but don't expect to get that much locally.  Ebay takes a huge chunk of the selling price, so offer it for $1100 locally, and be prepared to take less.

Most are going for about 1200-1300 used on ebay/amazon.  They will take about 10%.

I'd put it at 1250-1300 on Clist, let people bargain down to 1200, and everyone wins.
