Canon Rebel T4i w/18-135 IS STM Availability

Any updates anyone?  I wish Canon would be more transparent and let its customers know when we can expect the lens to be available.

I was still hearing late July.  Also, B&H also indicated that they have no record or information on whether or not the lens will be available outside of a kit, or when that would happen.  I ended up changing my order.

Something is going on with the lens though.  Initially Mid-June, then Late-June, then Mid-July, now Late-July, and nobody has any actual information...

Ok.... I am willing to wait for the 18-135 STM lens.... Will anyone sell me the T4i now at the kit price and ship me the lens when it's available?

Never think to check the store. Thanks folks. I just ordered the 18-135 IS STM lens.... going on vacation & I needed it now. Bought the T4i (body only) last week.

If you look at What's in the Box under the Specs section you'll see that it includes the 18-135mm STM lens.  It must be an error, but I have one waiting for me at the store for pickup, and I'll make sure they honor my order either today, or when it comes in for real.  I'm not sure I'd try this unless you can actually go to the store.

I just ordered mine from there.  I also called Stereo Advantage, (They are filling the amazon order) and spoke with someone.  He assures me it is the STM and that they literally just got them hours ago.  He also compared the part numbers from their inventory to the ones on canon's website and they are the same.  I guess that's as close as I am going to get short of him actually holding the box in his hand .  They are based out of Buffalo NY, and I am in Rochester, NY.  I asked him if i could drive there right now!  lol.  Anyway he said it should arrive Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.  Man I hope I don't get screwed.  Their reputation seems really good.  Anyone ever dealt with them?

Yeah.. you're right!  Back to 20 available!  Well, at least it's fulfilled through Amazon so I tend to trust this one.
