Odd that it only scores 4 stars on the price/performance aspect and there was no mention anywhere in the article of its US$200 price.

The more I look at this lens, the more I'm convinced Canon should have gone the extra mile and made it f/2.  The sharpness, color, and contrast looks very good, but the bokeh even at f/2.8 seems to need that little extra kick to the blur.  A 40mm f/2.0 at around $300 would have been a nice Nifty-Fifty replacement.
