70-200 f/2.8 USM: why not mkII?

Got my nonIS for less than half price of IS mk1. The obvious choice then.
Upgrade is tempting but hardly justifiable at present.

so... I've tested the USM IS MKII and it's awesome... now I understand what a stupid question I've done...
