My Refurb thru Canon CLP arrived 15 minutes ago. $1407. I put a battery in it (same as my 7D battery), and used EOS count to check the actuations. 379 shutter actuations. The battery is dated 12/2011. No marks or other signs its ever been used, except for the refurb packaging.
I'll be checking it out this afternoon.
Just got mine today as well. I had to pay tax and shipping, so the total was closer to $1580 for me. Mine has signs of having been mounted on a tripod previously, but otherwise I cannot tell it's a refurb. Will check the shutter count later today
This is my 2nd 5D 2, after returning my 5D MK III, and selling my D800. For the price, its a very good deal.
I checked the viewfinder dor dust - none, then a f/22 sky shot, no dust on sensor and finally a black frame. Its a bit better than my first 5D 2, with no red hotspots at all. If you crank up the exposure by 3-4 ev, the banding becomes visible, but for correctly exposed images, its fine.
I also put on my 40mm and snapped three or 4 shots at f/8. Everything was in sharp focus. i'll do some checking wide open later, to see if it can benefit from AFMA, and will do all my lenses over the next few days.
Here is a severe crop of a rose in my yard. I pulled the exposure down 0.44 ev. The other images were also slightly over exposed, but not clipped. That 40mm lens picks up fine detail very well.
