I'd probably step back and use a longer lens to reduce the distortion.

What's wrong with distortion? Makes the image more meaningful and personal than a picture postcard view.

Hi RLPhoto, It was a simple fix in lightroom4. I decided to keep the pix as is  ;)

The composition is fine. I just noted that in this particular photo the distortion, IMO, Take's away from the composition by pulling the viewers eye to the edge of the frame. Which means a weaker image.

Just a opinion, and your mileage may vary. ;D
