1Dx 300f/2.8 V2, shot @ f/5.6 & 1/320th.

12 FPS so a few Images missing, I expected this Big Guy to stay up the tree & consume the Kill, but he did the unexpected, he jumped straight out to the Ground, with the Kill in his mouth, fluffed the exit totally, me, not the Leopard. This Guy was as Big as a Large Female Lion, so he wasn't concerned I guess about eating the Kill on the Ground, not much would mess with Him I imagine.

Yes, perhaps a missed opportunity, Nah, you would only waste it on more Camera gear.

Welcome back Garry :-)

I had a similar reaction to yours over some posters here, but like you (I think) realise that there are lots of cool people here too.
It got to the point that I let out a snort and backed out of certain threads. Life's too short sometimes to replicate work online :P.

Eggs in a frame
1Dx and 50 f/1.4

ISO 100 f/4 @1/40
Lucky for me you posted after I had breakfast. Otherwise I might have eaten my iPad.
 ;)

I was doing a quick product shoot for this restaurant for their new Brunch menu, brought a lighting setup and all my reflectors etc. Turns out the light was PERFECT for about an hour and I did not need any additional light, other then a diffuser right above the food about 24". We shot 5 items in the same light over and over with perfect results every time.

Well, it looked perfect! Compliments to you. Also to the chef for making it just right :)

Oh no Crapking, you have to do golf too?  It's my least favorite.
Here's a track one with 300 f/2.8L I IS:
Lovely shot. How far we're you from the athlete?

Thanks rpt.  I was about 30 yards out.  I couldn't get any closer.  I think I did a poor job of cropping though.
I wouldn't say "poor". May be the OOF sand at the bottom and a bit on the left - to get rid of the bright reflection near the left edge - upper middle part of the picture. Unfortunately the cone is in exactly the "wrong" spot. So as he comes down his behind may have an unwanted appendage. Did you get one of him landing? Sand flying would add motion to the picture.

Thanks rpt.  Yes sometimes in sports the composition issue can get frustrating.  Well, the fact is, I didn't want to be where I was but that's where the officials told me I could go.  And not to mention the sun was above and behind the jumper.  Yes that cone is annoying.  Luckily, I used burst mode on the 1Dx and have the full range of the jumper, which I didn't realize until last night.

Welcome back gary!
