Just got the 1DX yesterday. Great thunderstorm tonight in Olympia, WA so I thought I would try to capture some bolts with the 50mm f/1.2. I've never tried to shoot lightning before so forgive me if this isn't very professional. Tips and tricks for shooting lightning from you seasoned vets would be much appreciated.
The first shot was fired off at f/16, 1/10sec.
Second and third shot were f/16, 1/50sec.
all three at 25600 ISO.
They cleaned up very nicely in LR4
