Your 600 Lens that you use so much, Version 1 or 2, reason for the question being that I just picked up the Version 2 & was wondering how it compares to the V1 ?? I hadn't owned the V1, this is my first 600 Lens, I have owned the V1 of the 300 & 400 and now have the V2 of both Lenses, I've found the V2's better, not much better, but lighter, perhaps a little sharper, but Focus seems much quicker on the V2's compared to the V1's, interested in your views of the 600.

Oh, love your wildlife photography as well, especially the work done on the 600, sharp as tacks from what I can see.

I'm happy that at 4000 iso on a 200% crop I'm still able to get this kind of quality.

Speaking of high ISO and cropping, I shot this at 1/500s, f/2.8, ISO 5000 and still had to brighten in post to about +1.00 exposure.  There is some detail loss, but not bad at 40% NR.  This gym is just awful.  I have since changed to the 135L and now shoot at f/2.2 instead of 2.8 and it's helped with noise in post, but the keeper rate is slightly lower due to DOF and AF speed.

I've had great luck with the 1DX doing indoor and outdoor concert photography, bird photography, indoor very low light portraits, and have yet to really get a bad shot with high-speed continuous shooting. Here is one example of that taken just before sunset at 2000 ISO using Canon 70-200mm 2.8 at 200mm and 6.3 AV. (This is one in a 1 second sequence of 12 shots).

bdun....did you shoot this in jpeg?  are you shooting sports in raw or jpeg in general?
