Bought a 5D3 to replace my 5D2 back in May last year.  Got my 1Dx in October.

I have to say, that other than when I want the extra pixels, the 5D3 sits in the bag and the 1Dx gets used far more often.  The images just seem to have "something" that is better, in my personal opinion, than the 5D3.

Don't mistake this as knocking the 5D3....excellent camera and I love it....but if I have a choice (and I do), I'll pick up the 1Dx first.  Really wish I had waited for the big megapixel Canon and just got two 1Dx's in the meantime.

Posting this as an example of 1dx output as the light was really really low.
For those who are interested, these 'monks' bathe in Ganges every twelve years in a huge affair called Kumbh mela.

My own take as well, I rarely use my 2 5DMK III's now that I have a pair of 1Dx Bodies, especially as I shoot a lot of low light wildlife, but the 5DMK III comes into it's own I think on Landscape, City type work, but it'll be gone the minute the High MP Camera hits, then the 1Dx for action, the High MP for everything else.

But I cant see it before mid 2014.

Lovely Image Sanj, Lad with the Axe would grab my attention.

Another place I've never been to, India, absolutely have to spend some time there, so many Beautiful places and Gorgeous People to see & experience.

I'de love to get there for the Tigers, but I've heard so many poor reports on how crazy the experience has become with Huge crowds of vehicles & "Me Me" type Photographers, if there's a more in depth quiter & more personal way to do this I'de appreciate the heads up.

I went to Ankor Wat last year for 4 days, last time I was there was 1986, then it was an amazing experience, this time around I couldn't wait to get away, so sad really.

Visiting India is certainly a mixed bag. I so ONLY recommend high end tourism. Otherwise it will get to you. Sad, but true.

Sanj, Lovely picture. What were the settings? There is no EXIF to refer to. BTW, I converted it to B&W and it was so striking. The blue distracts me in the colour version. In the B&W, you go straight to the sadhu's face. And that after simply converting to B&W - no fancy profile stuff...

Lovely picture. I am taking the liberty of uploading that B&W conversion. I hope you do not mind.

Been a little bored lately, waiting to head off on some Image Taking work rather than some Image reviewing work, so working on the B&W look, well, almost B&W Look.

1Dx 400f/2.8 L IS Version 2, Shot @ f/4 & 1/5000th ISO 800

Yeah, a sitting Cheetah & I shot it @ 1/5000th, guess i was expecting him to break into full swing at any moment, in fact, he didn't of all the Cheetahs to run across, we found the Lazy sucker.
