I just posted the image Great Horned Owl...anyone viewing this, can you tell me if the colours are off? It looks fine on my computer and on my ipad photos folder, but when viewed online on my ipad, they colours are  awful?

Thanks
Raptors

Colours are fine, nice & warm, but I'de assume early morning/late afternoon, great shot.

Re my impressions of the 200-400f/4 versus the 400f/2.8 V2, I'm reasonably certain it will be hard task to convince me that the Canon Version 2 Primes 300f/2.8 & 400f/2.8 aren't better at their respective Ranges than the 200-400, you need to really pull in on the Computer to Pixel Peep, but there's generally a slight extra pin sharpness that comes from the Primes.

But, and it's a big "But", for my preferred Photography, African Wildlife, the 200-400f/4 is just sublime, I absolutely Love this Lens, someone one day will have to prise it from my dead cold fingers to throw me in a hole in the Ground.

What I have been doing though is using the 400f/2.8 on this trip in difficult light conditions, or simply where I just want to totally blow out the background, but I have on this trip the 200-400f/4, 400f/2.8 and the 70-200f/2.8 V2, 75% of my Images will be with the 200-400, maybe 15% with the 70-200 & remaining 10% with the 400, and some of those shot with the 400f/2.8 I could have shot with the 200-400 but wanted to use the 400 to compare.

If I was shooting say Sports, indoor stadium stuff, I would lean towards the 400f/2.8, but for wildlife, anyone that buys the 200-400 I believe will never rue the decision.

I'm shooting Polar Bear for 3 weeks around the North of Svalbard in August, I'll only take two Lenses, 200-400f/4 & the 600f/4 Version 2 with a 1.4x Converter for the 600.

Some portraits taken this week :)

Lovely portraits. I especially love the lighting in the first one. Nicely done.
