From a local benefit show I stumbled onto this evening, cropped to this size, 1/50 f/2.8 ISO 2000.  Jim

Looks like taken by 300D and m42 mount lens. so sorry but what did u do to ur 1dx  :'( Shes just dancing with her dad or relative so its not that funny too...

You'll understand if I don't take this as particularly constructive feedback, but if you read the caption again you might understand better.  This was entirely impromptu also, I turned from the band they danced to and saw them.

I posted this one because I thought it was interesting for the contrast between the two, not because it is a world-class photo.  In any case I've had the camera for about a week, so expect greater things in the future.

Taken from the MS Stockholm sailing along the Edge of the Gustav Adolf Land Glacier Front, North Eastern Svalbard Islands, approximately 80 degrees North.

August 2013.

200-400f/4, @ 200mm f/6.3 & 1/1250th ISO400

This particular Bear was above the Deck height, around 30 metres off the Starboard Bow, she climbed to the top of the Berge and was trying to work out how to get onboard, fortunately she wasn't able to work it out.
