Thanks Northstar.  I hear you on the tough shots/angles.  In 3 sets I probably had 54 keepers is about all, and that's with two bodies!!  Oh well, what can you do?

Quick volleyball shot:

1/500s, f/2.8, ISO 1600 with the 70-200 f/2.8L II IS lens.

great shot...volleyball is tough with the net in the way and the tough shooting angles....good job.

+1

Excellent shot. Perfect timing!

Thanks rpt, appreciated.

This shot is nothing special, just wanted to show you the thunderstorm coming up behind out of the west.  The race just got over and it started raining.

I would not say anything special. You captured beautiful athletes there. :D

Hey, did you notice the shift to orange??  When you upload on here, does it do something, like with contrast or anything?

Several people reported change color in the photo on the site, compared to what you see by opening the file directly to your computer. It may be a different color space.

College hockey is off and running....I like these heavily cropped shots of the goalie diving or watching the puck.
Look closer, it's not a robin.

Many thanks Eldar.
My favourite is #2. I think catching them screaming and running around is the easy (ish) part. It's the in between moments of emotion that really catch my heart and eye.
I still have no idea how to mount a 600 to a gimbal >.>
