I just took a whole bunch of shots at the zoo with my new 70-200 f/2.8L IS II.  Love the lens.  Some of the shots are incredibly sharp, even at long distances.

Another shot taken with the lens over the weekend.  It was shot at 70mm, f/11, 1/4 sec, ISO 100.  This is a 100% crop taken from a long distance away.  I was on the fence about getting this glass since I have the f/4 IS, but it is in a league of its own.

I'm amazed at how sharp this lens is wide open.

This is a random photo I took handheld at a party.

70-200mm f/2.8L IS II at 200mm on a 7D
f/2.8, 1/60 sec, ISO 400

I'm attaching a 100% crop to demonstrate the detail right down to the pixel level.
If you look closely, you can see a reflection of the room in his eye revealing how I used the flash.

Wife brought some pink tulips for her friends lunch party... I had some fun with the 70-200mk.ii: The lens is very sharp... but on these shots I wanted to get a bit dreamy.  :)

Using two flash this image is slightly soft focused (through unsharp mask) for the owners who like that soft dreamy look. Taken with 1Ds3, f/9, 1/160 @130mm
