perhaps bh was trying to sell all the affected units at lower price?
or because most professional have already bought it for this wedding season so the sale was bad hance the quick sale for ones that wanted buy it but ... damn... dont want to pay that much
5d3 over priced? and who doesnt want it to be cheaper? most wedding and event photographers would rather have better lowlight ability than higher resolution.
the ability to use 12800iso confidently in a professional situation really really open up new possibilities!

Honestly light leaking is not a big issue. I think that was discussed here before and most people do not care about that. If I can get a new one for about 3K from authorized dealer, I would like to get one now. I saw 3K deal for new 5D3 on Craigslist and that was really attractive. However, I don't know if the warranty can be transferred to me or not. Any advise?

!!HIDDEN!! price drop (sale special price?) at Beach Camera via Amazon.
5D Mark III with SanDisk Extreme 32 Gb SD card - $3,399.
The 5D3 alone is still at $3499, and the kit above is also $3499 direct from Beach.

Thoughts? Light leak leftovers?

Cliff that's a great question. I've been wondering if a Canon warranty can be transferred from the original buyer to another person. Does anyone know? Maybe Mt. Spokane knows?

Has anybody bought one of these cheaper cameras?
Any new rumors about the price drop? 3000 would be acceptable price for me.
When do usually Christmas rebates kick off?

I got mine a month ago from J&R for $3244. According to the serial number, it was not one of ones with the 'light leak issue.'
