The AF point selection modes are independent according to the orientation of th
Camera.
The modes are "remembered" by the camera as is the AF point selection.
I like it. It gives me more flexibility...

I noticed that the first time I rotated orientation and my AI Servo switched to One Shot.
But, I turned off the orientation sensitive AF point feature since that's what causes the AFMA bug. Hopefully a firmware update will fix that soon.
