WHO NEED MIRRORLESS BODY - when you can pack 5D III + 16-35 II like this :))

I guys,
I took 5D III + 16-35 II + s100 + 15.5" Accer Slim Laptop with me on my last trip to HongKong & China - Jul 23rd to 28th 2012. As you can see all 4 items are fit perfectly in my hand-carry-bag :))

IMPORTANT: Both 5D III + 16-35 II survived 7days of raining in HongKong & China VERY WELL

Here are some pics I took. Hope you guys like it :))

did you use the body? or just carry your gear around in pieces? if you did this where I lived(Chongqing, China), the camera would be filled with construction dust in about 15 minutes.

Don't know if construction dust is worse than Playa dust or not, but my 5d2 w/24-105 survived a Burning Man with me shooting all over the place for the full 7 days. Playa dust is very alkaline, extremely fine and gritty. Now, if he were to pop the lens on and off all the time, I'm sure it would have filled up quickly. But once the 16-35 is on (it's weather sealed I believe, with the gasket) it would have been pretty good. Especially with the improved sealing over the 5d2.

You could pack the mirrorless with the lens attached (so you dont need to reassemble it to shoot), and a few additional lenses in the same space -- basically your camera + one lens bag becomes your kit bag. If you're willing to disassemble and reassemble the mirrorless, it's pocketable.

I used both body & lens while I was there. No dust, just rain rain and more rain :(
