Let me start out by saying that my girlfriend (fiancé) and I have been shooting with a 50D for a few years now. It's a wonderful camera, but we needed a second for a few reasons.
1 - Two people sharing a camera when going out and taking pics can be annoying.
2 - We are starting to do weddings. Using only one camera is risky and only one of us can take pics at a time.
3 - Full frame will bring new life to our lenses.
We've had the camera for about a week now, and there is a lot to learn. The AF is unreal to me. I can catch sparrows zooming through the air at 400mm with like a 95% success rate. I don't think I ever got one on the 50D. Also, the high ISO and quality at high ISO's has changed the way I take pics. Instead of leaving it from 100-400 on the 50D, I can start it at 800 and go from there (higher if I need speed & and lower if I don't). Anyway, here are some pics from our first week broken up by which lenses were used.
These were both with the 100mm (non L). ISO's this high would look like garbage on the 50D for macro shoots, but here I don't even see a trace of noise.
