HI! Just experimenting with the jewelry my wife makes. 5d MKIII, most of it with TS-E 95 , TS-E 45 and EF 180 Marco. Einstein Flashes.

I know I have a few problems with focus....  tried to shot tethered but unfortunately Lightroom does not support the 5D MKIII yet, and I tilted the lens too much...  will reshoot next week again and do it better... but she is very happy since have the photos for her Etsy store that asked me for months :-)

Lightroom supports Mkiii.

Use the Canon Utility to shoot tethered.  Even when they get tethering support for the 5D MK III in LR 4, its pretty poor when compared to the Canon utility. Thats one piece of software that Canon did a fine job with, and its free. 
BTW, It will export the images to lightroom and open it for further editing if you set it in the preferences..

Are you sure? I googled it and was full of people complaining about not being supported, I'm using the lattes version and when I plug the camera I get a busy message on the camera

Latest version, 4.1 or is there a new one? Lightroom does not show any new versions when I click to check for new ones.

Good to know, I'll install it and give it a try, certainly I need a big monitor to do this correctly.

@ M.ST... Out if interest what about the IQ dont you like. I think its incredible. Id be so proud if I produced anything like that. What is it about my untrained eye that im missing?

OK fair enough, I can understand it wouldnt be good enough for a huge brand campaign, but something smaller surley its good enough?

Use Focus Bracketing to fix the issues with the lack of Depth Of Field. This will also allow you to open up a bit more and achieve better sharpness from the lens.




Other than that, awesome set up and lighting. Well done.

Is there noise added? The purple parts look very noisy for ISO200.

Light and composition is really nice done.
