As far as I understand you will need calibration as a service only in case something is way off. Then it may be free, because you have received new equipment being somewhat on the fringes of acceptable production limits regarding autofocus.
Apart from that AFMA should do the trick, which I see as a standard operation to consider for all fast lenses. Lens IQ is not affected by calibration, only AF performance is affected, which in turn affects the IQ of your pictures severely, but only if using autofocus. For manual focus you won't find benefits.
