1DX Dynamic Range

Lightroom 4 seems to mesh very well with the 1DX and allow a great deal of dynamic range.

Nice shot! Yeah, I have also noticed that. But also LR 4 is way better when recovering highlights compared to LR 3.

Do you guys also think that Lightroom 4 handles the 1d X files much better than the 5d3 files, or is the files just that much better?

I can do a LR vs. Camera RAW comparison but that seems worthless considering they are supposed to use the same "engine" for RAW processing.

They use Camera RAW in both Lightroom and Photoshop

Besides there is no inside of a lens cap to be able to really make a proper analysis of this

I don't own a 5d III but I have a Mk II and with the new version I can recover way more information than before. Something important is that you no longer have strange skin tones when adjusting highlights and shadows (unless you go waaaaaay too far with it)
