5D3 - AFMA similar to 5D2 or 1DX?
dilbert:
Does the AFMA in the 5D3 work in a similar fashion to that of the 5D2 (one setting per lens) or does it work like that of the 1DX where it is possible to have two settings for zoom lenses?
neuroanatomist:
The 5DIII is the same as the 1D X - separate wide and tele settings for zoom lenses, serial number recognition, etc.
Jamesy:
And I might add, the 5D3 (and I suspect the 1DX) will interpolate between wide and tele meaning if your wide is +2 and your tele is +4, midway through the focal range it will do +3.

Correct - a simple integer linear regression between the two values across the focal range of the lens. For the plot below, each lens was set to W = -10 and T = +10.

Is this a graph out of FoCal?
