I think you'll have to give us a pretty good clue on this one...there's not enough info in the pic.  But the water sure is blue, could be many places in canada, alaska, great lakes, and/or northern europe.

OP here...folks - when posting your image, try to have some detail in the image....a skyline, a landmark, a well known structure...etc.   

The shot of Cologne is a perfect example....also the Eiffel tower.  I challenge you to dig into your vacation photos or your LR library and post a great shot of somewhere you've been.

Nope. I've never been there. I'm an US citizen. In fact, the only midwest state I've even been to was Illinois, and that was 20 years ago.

First one is correct (Lake Tahoe).  As far as the second one, it is not Las Vegas, but it does feel hotter than Vegas (and is a major city).
