Of course I frequently ask the wife where things are in the fridge, when it is right in front of my face.  Have I misssed it, or have they not yet said whether it has AF micro adjustment?

Yes, it's said to have the same AFMA as the 5dMkIII. The 'official' product page http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_6d#Features only says this in the 'features' section under Auto Focus:

Quote
For even more customization, adjustment levels for the wide-angle and telephoto ends of particular lenses can be entered and recorded into the camera’s memory.

As far as I know, AFMA seems to be a new standard feature on all live-view capable XD specced cameras, probably XXD too if they keep coming out.
