Lenses that they say will be released in April, yet I still don't have coming up to the end of September.

Don't worry, its just being tested. http://www.darkenergysurvey.org/DECam/camera.shtml   If it works for them it should be okay for us to.

It's coming. They felt that the 2007 50MP APS-H sensor is too little, so they made a 120MP version in 2010:
