Canon 24mm TSE_II Missing part

Hello all. I'm about to get a quote for a missing part from Borehamwood, though my lens is only 3 months old it should be covered under warranty (I hope).

Mine has a missing bit. This ever happened to you guys?

BTW. Not trying to win awards with my studio photography so please don't critique how bad it is. Cheers.

That's not good ... you have now made me look more closely at my copy which is coming up 12mths ... and luckily it is not showing any signs of fracture on that control knob, although there is a little bit of play in both of them.

I have read elsewhere where others have had it lock up maybe due to over tightening.

Did it fall apart when turning?

It just fell off. Picked up the camera and lens to take a shot and it wasn't there!
