just saw a deal in Costco, thought it was a good one so figured I'd share: Canon 7D + 28-135mm USM lens + 320 EX Flash + 8GB CF card: $1799.

Just thought this is a good deal for this in the market for the awesome 7d.

Just thought this is a good deal for this in the market for the awesome 7d.

The Camera and lens sells for $1538 at B&H, Adorama, and Amazon, the flash for $224, and a 8gb card maybe $15.
 Total $1777, and you don't have to pay sales tax if you are out of NY state.

The body goes for 1050 or so on the CLP.

Not to mention the 320EX is an awkward flash for that combo. And the 28-135 is an awkward lens for the 7D, not wide enough for landscapes, not tele enough for anything truly useful, and not shallow enough DOF for portraits.

And yeah, through Canon Loyalty, the 7D with 28-135 is like $1150+tax. So, you could buy a 580EXII and a 32 or 64GB CF card for that price difference

oops, ok - I think I stand corrected - for some reason I remember the body only as being $1500 - but that must have been a thing of the past. Thanks guys for the clarification.
