Awesome price, but it's crazy that B&H is out of stock and everywhere else that has it seems to be maintaining regular price.  I guess maybe Best Buy is dumping for the next model? 

Before the Ipad 2 was announced, it was a pic of the best buy inventory screen that "confirmed" the ipad 2 announcement. 

All I know is they better release something soon, that Sony FS100 is looking more and more tempting by the day.

I think I'm getting a T3i or 60D to work until the 5D MK III is released! Those are some really good prices!

Unless this means that the new ones are coming out?? What do you guys think? Every other site has them at regular price, it's just Best Buy.

I'm about to order a T3i or 60D to work until the MarkIII is released. Those are some awesome prices, but I fear this might be a sign that new EOS are coming soon.

If it's just Bet Buy being extremely generous and has nothing to do with them clearing stock for the new ones...I will buy one right now.

Not entirely true.  A few days ago, the Canon Vixia HF M41 (new model, announced in January and slowly becoming available) was listed for $679 online at Best Buy, and the MSRP is $799.  B&H, Adorama, Amazon...all were out of stock on it (it could be preordered for MSRP).  It was listed as in stock at a local store, so I went in - no display model, had to ask, there were three of them in a locked cabinet.  Store price was $850, but they matched their online price and I walked out with a good deal on the camcorder I wanted...  (I'm about the last person to praise Best Buy, but this time it worked out well for me.)

I'm still sticking to my belief that you shouldn't buy Canon unless you really need a body right now. The less people buy, the faster the new cameras will come out.

If I was a still photographer, I wouldn't care so much since the current models are fine for photos. But since I'm a video guy, I really need a better Canon video camera to go with the crazy amount of money I've spent on the lenses.

So, DON'T buy unless you need it.

Its not uncommon for some companies to advertise sale prices to occur on items that are out of stock.  Its a on-line switch and bait tactic.  A web search engine picks it up, people don't confirm that it is actually available before spreading the false information, and they get free advertising and the opportunity to switch the buyer to something they do have.

I should really remove this thread so they do not get free advertising for pulling this.
