Wondering if I am alone with this. When shooting events, I have my laptop handy so I can dump cards for quick editing during slow moments, breaks in action timeouts, quarters/periods and such. I almost always shoot on manual. When I replace the cards and turn the camera back on, the ISO almost always drops equivalent of 2/3 to a fulls stop. Any clues? One setting I do use is to have the ISO change to keep the exposure consist with the 100-400 or when adding a teleconverter with other lenses so it will compensate for the aperture change due to the lens. Same setting I used with the 1DX series bodies. I’m used to it now to always check before continuing to shoot, but it still puzzles me.
