KOBRA Flash Modifier Provides Photographers Exceptional Design and Function on Kickstarter

KOBRA takes a bite at the flash modifier market with a relaunch on Kickstarter offering an attractive design and price

Irvine, CA – Red Tusk, LLC. announced the relaunch of their KOBRA Flash Modifier on Kickstarter with exclusive features and competitive pricing.

The KOBRA was designed to give photographers an effective modified flash solution that is lightweight, flexible and with a sleek design. Professional photographer, Paul McKelvey, conceived the idea for KOBRA through his disappointment in the current market. McKelvey said, “I have used all the ‘on camera flash’ modifiers that are available and have been unsatisfied with the results. I decided to stop complaining and make my own.”

The new Kickstarter campaign includes the improved KOBRA Band, a high-grade, flexible silicone that is not affected by high or low temperatures. The new design features vent holes to allow air to circulate over the flash head and prevent the potential for overheating.

A Cinema Series DSLR Isn’t Happening, But a New Cinema Line Likely is [CR1]

A Cinema Series DSLR Isn’t Happening, But a New Cinema Line Likely is [CR1]

By Canon Rumors | May 21, 2018 | Canon Cinema EOS Rumors

Ever since the Canon EOS-1D C, there has been a lot of chatter and desire to see another “C” labeled DSLR. The EOS-1D C was quite expensive, at more than twice the price of the very similar EOS-1D X and it didn’t sell all that well until it saw heavy discounts.

We’re being told again, in a very cryptic manner that a new cinema ILC series of camera is likely coming by the end of 2018. The source claims that the final decision about releasing the product has not yet been made and that there is still a possibility it will get shelved.

The source did note that their no sign that a EOS C100 Mark II replacement is on the way and the EOS C200 could become the entry level Cinema EOS camera and that this new form factor ILC will bridge the gap between EOS still cameras and Cinema EOS cameras.

This is all very interesting, and we think there is some plausibility behind it all. As such, we’ll remain cautiously optimistic.

Canon EOS 80D Will Be The Next DSLR Replaced [CR1]

By Canon Rumors | May 21, 2018 | Canon DSLR Rumors

We’re being told that 2018 will be a slow DSLR year for Canon, but that we’ll likely a see a replacement to the EOS 80D next, and it’s possible that its coming in late 2018.

While a EOS 7D Mark II replacement will be more exciting to the Canon community, there is absolutely no signs of an EOS 7D Mark III announcement coming any time soon.

While no specifications are available at this time, we’re told that internally Canon plans to put DPAF equipped 4K in all non-Rebels going forward. This shouldn’t come as any sort of surprise, but it is worth noting.
