According to Canon RCC Nordic, the new firmware also fixed some banding issues with the 5D Mark II and firmware 2.0.4.
Stealth fixes happen from time to time.

I'm receiving information from around the globe about shortages of Canon's cheap prime lenses. Some are being listed as backordered until June 30, 2010 at a couple of European retailers.

i found this firmware to be no better than previous versions in terms of banding reduction.. my camera has excessive banding at iso 6400+
Anyone know if this firmware update does anything for shooting under HMIs?
would make sense if lots of bigger shows are starting to adapt to shooting 5D, hard to imagine somthing like house shooting without HMIs
