This image is actually from the 1D Mark IV. So does that cast some doubt on 60fps @ 720p being available in the 5D Mark II firmware update?

The new firmware for the 5D Mark II will not only feature 24p, but there will also be a 720p @ 60fps mode.
I neglected reporting on this because I just figured that was a given. I've received numerous tips on this.

Ok, very cool, and long overdue, but why not 720p 30fps? Wouldn’t that cut file sizes in half allowing for longer recording times?
Nothing new for the electronics and consumer industry in general… moving on.

Any attempts and scrounging up any real Mark IV news??? Original dates stated on this blog means it should be shipped any day now.
I’m glad to see 720P. I down sample most of the video to that resolution anyway. Its much easier to edit at that resolution.

Call Canon, ask to register your Feature Request, they are taking them and are very nice people (even if you have already, you can do for another feature)
