Apple’s Aperture can now convert the Canon 7D Raw files.
Update Notes:
This update extends RAW image compatibility for Aperture 2, iPhoto ’08 and iPhoto ’09 for the following cameras: Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D, Canon PowerShot G11, Nikon D3S, Nikon D300S, and Nikon D3000.

No, technically the digital RAW compatibility update is a Mac OS update, so anything that relies on the Mac system APIs can use the raw converters natively. Not just Aperture but also iPhoto.
According to Apple’s Software update: “This update extends RAW image compatibility for Aperture 2, iPhoto ’08 and iPhoto ’09 for the following cameras: Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D, Canon PowerShot G11, Nikon D3S, Nikon D300S, and Nikon D3000.”
Also wondering why support for the S90 is still MIA, since it has the same sensor as the G11…
so does this allow for viewing of previews/cover flow for RAW files in OS X finder or not?
yes, it does ! :)
zhu- your first name isn’t David is it? Boy would that be a coincidence.
Looks like there are some issues with apple’s raw. color looks badly off in some cases…

How about SRAW support for the 50D? Please?
This should never happen… I’ve read that somewhere, it’s not in Apple plan to support sraw…
Can lightroom handle the sraw files from the 50D? I’d love to shoot it when I know I’ll never print big. I just can’t with aperture.
I updated my aperture this morning and it shows that after updating compatibility with canon D7 should be OK.
I restarted my Macbook Pro and i try to import D7 .CR2 files … my disappointment is great .. cause it doesn’t work … Why?
You mean 7D, not D7.
Hi
It seems, that the newly released RAW support for the Canon EOS 7D only supports RAW files in full size – if you use the medium or small size RAW files, it does not work…
2.7 Update for raw files in mac only supports raw files, it does not support MRAW and SRAW and i cant understand why? does anyone knows?
