Buy Now? Maybe
If you absolutely need the highest resolution possible, then the EOS 5DS & EOS 5DS R are your only Canon branded options. We’ve heard that there could be a replacement for these cameras sooner-than-expected, but we cannot confirm this. Canon has showcased higher resolution sensors in the last couple of years and we expect a camera near 100mp sometime between 2018-2020.

Buy Now? Yes
This is Canon’s entry level full frame DSLR and it should stick around for quite some time. We’re hoping that the EOS 6D series moves to a quicker product cycle than the very long 4 years and 9 months between the EOS 6D and EOS 6D Mark II.

Buy Now? Yes
The EOS 77D may have a polarizing name, but in the end it’s a “super Rebel” and will likely run on an 18-24 month product cycle. That said, we’re not sure we’ll ever see a direct replacement for this camera or if this is some kind of hold over while Canon rethinks the xxD line.
