I've received confirmation that a new Canon body is being tested in Vancouver. Things are so tight lipped that this great source hasn't seen the model number.
It's suggested this is final testing before an announcement.
The same source has said we will see a 1Ds Mark IV before the end of February.
So if anyone attending the Olympics sees anything attached to a big white lens that looks suspicious, send me a picture of it.

westfall said clearly that canon wont make any steps backwards…but to think they would step on the same spot with a 1D(s) series camera…you are dreaming, a future 1Ds IV camera will more than probably have 30+ mp

Hey MM what’s up dog! It’s all your preaching and teaching that finally got me to cancel my 1DMIV preorder (as well as the high res images). I hope you’re right this time as well, but logically I have almost zero confidence in Canon putting a lid on the pixel war as FANTASTIC as it would be.
Canon is a pixel warmonger!!!!! Canon yells “Hey everyone eat my pixels!” as they shove pixels down their customer’s throats. “No thank you Canon. I’ll stick with my fantastic 5D instead” I yell back.
I’d spend my whole tax refund plus a bit for a 21mp 1DsMIV despite my wife’s kicking and screaming!
