Canon China has launched a new colour for the Powershot V10, they'll be able to get one in white to go along with the black and silver versions available elsewhere. The PowerShot V10 was announced in May of 2023 and has been decently popular in some markets.
Canon has shown other V-series prototypes geared towards VR, but those haven't come to market yet. Canon's PowerShot strategy seems to still be in the concept camera design realm and seeing what new ideas are well received.
The PowerShot V10 has been well awarded, for whatever that is worth. It has received a, Good Design Award, iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award since it's release. This week, it also received a Silver Award at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2024.
We know it's not going to happen, but there seems to be a budding market once again for compact cameras going by the price increases on older models that we have seen over the last year or so. It'd be nice to see a couple of new G series cameras come to fruition. One can dream I suppose.
There's no evidence that the white PowerShot V10 will appear in other markets.

Meanwhile, the compact camera market has boomed to the point that IXUS models from over a decade ago goes way above retail and everything current in a compact form factor is on backorder way into the future. Imagine what a 200 IQ move it would have been to instead revitalize the popular ixus line which has not seen a release since 2017 and even further back for their high end models.
