There are reports on our forum that a couple of stores in Germany have said that they can no longer order the Canon EOS Rebel SL1, we've heard the same thing from Italy as well.
There is no imminent replacement coming as far as we know, and most of the Rebel SL2 talk was likely based on the assumption that we'd see a sequel to the highly rated little Canon DSLR.
One thing we did notice with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1, is that it didn't sell in large numbers until the significant discounts hit 6 or so months after its release. I'm not sure if that tells us anything or not.
Maybe there's plans for some kind of an EOS M / SL1 hybrid camera, as shown in a recent patent.
