Jeff Ascough teasing us
ascoughstealth1 - Canon Rangefinder?
Jeff Ascough posted on his twitter that he's testing a new rangefinder.

Could it be Canon? Maybe a digital Bessa? Howabout a digital Ikon?

Its definitely not a Nikon or a Leica.

Thanks Joseph

  1. I am not talking about IQ. Under much better picture I meant composition. Thank you anyway, J-Man, for your reply. How can you make a better composition with a rangefinder than with SLR? Or is it just a process of making a picture with a rangefinder?

  2. John Swan likes this. Rangefinders are so last century. Leica owners are just equipment-collecting dilletantes with more money than real skill. They don’t actually use their cameras, they just like to show it behind a glass display case since the resale value would drop if it gets so much as a particle of dust or a microscopic scratch. It’s only ridiculously expensive because of the very low sales volume, not because the quality & IQ is even remotely worth it.

  3. well wow, maybe you should look at some of the people who have shot with rangefinders work…larry burrows, robert capa, bresson…yea they never used their cameras in fear of scratching them

and current users, trente park, lebowitz and im sure if you go to magnum youl find scores more

    pathetic assumption of yours there.

and yes to give my bias im a leica user, happy owner of a battered camera and well travelled and 3000 rolls of film use by me, not to count the previous owner/s

  4. What’s the date tomorrow?

    “AF” rangefinder …

    Luminance
    Optimized
    Optical
Framelines (read the first letters upwards)
