    Canon has released new versions of DPP and Picture Style editor, beyond bug fixes and a few new features, support for the recently announced PowerShot and RF lenses have been added.

    Changes for Digital Photo Professional 4.10.40 for Windows

    • Supports PowerShot G5 X Mark II & PowerShot G7 X Mark III.
    • Supports RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM.
    • Expands HDR PQ Picture Styles and supports highlight adjustment and shadow adjustment.

    Changes for Picture Style Editor 1.22.40 for Windows

    • Supports PowerShot G5 X Mark II, PowerShot G7 X Mark III.

      I see this pop up when opening DPP.


      Image quality enhancement in HDR PQ mode has been introduced as of Digital Photo Professional 4.10.40.

      To keep using previous adjustment results, select the check box for [HDR PQ image quality settings*] in [Image Processing 2], in [Preferences].

      * Applies to images captured with the EOS 5D Mark IV and EOS R.

      It's a shame that Canon won't let us output DNG files from DPP.

      I would gladly pay $500 for this feature. :(

      DPP is just a couple of features short of keeping me from needing other software like Lightroom to process photos. I'd gladly pay a little extra for those features in DPP as opposed to renting from Adobe.

      I know...the biggest item for me would be regional exposure adjustment. There is now already regional brightness/contrast/hue/saturation in DPP, now I'd like to be able to adjust actual exposure without affecting the entire picture (like in Lightroom).
