Canon has released new firmware for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. The new firmware adds support for the Speedlight EL-5 and a few bug fixes.
This firmware incorporates the following fixes:
- Added support for the Speedlite EL-5.
- Shortened startup time when Bluetooth is enabled.
- Fixed a bug that FTP/FTPS/FTTP transfer could not be performed in IPv6.
- Fixed minor bugs.

Additionally there was a bug that when BT was activated, it prevented the camera from booting into "ready-to-shoot" when a third party lens with AF was attached. This has been fixed now as well, so the fear that Canon has blocked third party lenses from being used with the R6m2 is non-existant... for now.
