1. Really good lens, proof that you can have your cake and eat it in terms of sharpness and rendering / bokeh. Not for anyone who howls at the first sign of CA though.

2. I've really enjoyed my copy. I bought the Tamron 85 first, but have ended up using the 45 much more.

3. This is an amazing lens. Great balance of sharpness, speed, value, size and build quality - and then the icing on the cake is that it focuses very close (relative to it's competitors). I only wish they (or someone) would make a fast 65!!!!!!! Come on guys someone frigin make one!

5. Tack sharp wide open and across the frame, good bokeh, great build quality, close focus, VC works well. The Sigma 50mm f/1.4's (pre-ART and ART) have more bokeh, but IMHO this is the more useful lens overall at this focal range thanks to VC and weather sealing. Highly recommended.

   A fast prime at about 60 mm or 65 mm would get my attention too!
