EF 35 f/1.4L
I've received a few reports of people around the globe being unable to order EF 35 f/1.4L lenses and being told they're discontinued.
Another reader in France was price watching them and they seem to have disappeared from a few sites.
I don't think the lens is being discontinued myself, but the following lens is for real.
EF 24-70 f/2.8L IS
More murmurs from one person saying they've touched the new 24-70 IS. It is set for a summer launch with availability in October/November.

As likely as it might be, I still think Canon should first release & update a few other lenses before the 35mm f/1.4L
Well, Adorama has 9 copies of the 35mm 1.4L
tamron made a 28-105 f2.8 10 years ago. with advances in lens design i think it should be possible to make a 24-105 f2.8 IS by now. As for the f2 lens i think a moderately wide angle to moderate telephoto with f2 and IS would be a superb walk a round lens. as for size and weight if people can carry a a 70-200 2.8IS i don’t think it will be that bad. but smaller and lighter is always welcome.
The 500mm f/4 already has IS.
