    EF 400 f/5.6L Hard To Find?

    One of the usual lenses to appear on the replacement wishes of lots of people, the 400 f/5.6L, appears to be out of stock just about everywhere.

    I know a couple of stores that have them in stock, both have probably been for awhile.

      Has “out-of-stock” ever been a sure indication that a replacement is close at hand when it comes to lenses?

      I had to look that up since i bought one in January. I can’t speak for American stores but 2 of our Largest Canadian stores, namely Aden and Henry’s have them in stock. I’m sure you know that Canon Usa and Canon Canada honor each others warranty for Cameras and Lenses.

      They have been in and out of Stock since i’ve been watching them last July. Canon must make them in batches, and when stock is low, they make another batch. Some stores run out during that time. Most stores do not stock large quantities of them.
