And finally, one of the occupational hazards of the photog business: the heavy rain, but when the guys shall have their job done. Their livelihood depends on those photos. Everyone in the field (three presidents, all players, and all other guys in the field) got quite wet. This is a challenge both for the photogs and their equipment.

My verdict is that Canon won.

Some non-whites were still canon (2nd or 3rd bodies) by strap or by red L-ring, most big blacks are obviously Nikon. It is seen either by rounded eyepiece (if it is visible), or by a wheel near the shutter button (and they have some red stripe there).
I don't have any meaningful clues how to detect Sonies from that distance.
Some very unusual lens is seen (white, but very strange shape).

Could also be a Canon 70-200 with an aftermarket white lens-hood.

I couldn’t get that specific, but the angular VF hump looks like a Sony mirrorless body. A9 is a reasonable bet.

Even if I google for soccer world cup, fifa world cup 2018 canon etc....there's almost nothing that looks like it was photographed by a big white. Tons of ugly old pictures.

Aren't the majority just used as news paper fodder (or potential) so never see the light of day?
Wonder what % just get binned.

These are supposedly the 30 best, but I don't know what lenses took them. The one picture of cameras has not a single big white in view, though some red rings.
