Hoping the new bodies are as good as the Nikon Z6 and Z7. I understand they are not selling well at all but would be my choice if buying new, and not having Canon gear (which I am pleased with). Slow in their release of lenses but the f1.8s are to my liking. However, I am expecting big things...
Good idea. Seems like they like to shock people, use click-bait titles, whatever it takes to get you to watch their videos. Some are professionals that I tolerate, but others enthusiasts, too lazy to do, or incapable of, other paid photography.
I had a problem with the third party battery that came (as an extra) with my 6D. I charged it for a trip, then it disappeared before the trip, and never did find it. No issues like that with my Canon batteries.
I bought my 70-200 2.8 when I used an EOS 3. Still have and love the lens and I agree, just bump up the ISO. The downside is the weight and bulk, especially when using for landscape. If it were not so damned sharp (could be better at 180-200mm) I would buy an f4.
The only thing that seems of value is Aurora HDR. So if you like the artificial look which some people do then, it may be worth a try, but check around first for other prices.
Personally, I would not want all that crap and I suspect most photographers would not spend time going through all of...
My first lens with IS was the 100 macro. It has proven extremely useful, and I cannot imagine buying a lens without that unless the body had IS. Those who think they do not need it (and it isn not always needed) should try using or renting a lens and they may be surprised at how useful it is.
The 15-35 looks fantastic. A few years ago I sold the 40-70 for the 16-35 f4 and was extremely pleased with an increase in sharpness and no more purple fringing with tree/sky in landscape photos.
I am not switching to mirrorless, but am drooling over that lens.
Thanks much for your response. I shoot RAW also, find the dynamic range just fine. Focusing accuracy with the center point as amazingly accurate. Works fine, so just thinking about the future should I need another body. Thanks again!
May I ask why? If my 6D craps out I am not sure what I would get. Reading up on 6DII has been confusing and unsure the sensor is even better. Like my 6D except dumbed down focusing and. 5D is overkill in size, weight, and complexity. Thanks!
