Any tips for south-west Connecticut (or close NY areas)?

Hi there!

Last time I went to US for a couple weeks, I got really great tips, so now I'm trying the same, but for three months...

I will spend May, June and July in and around Fairfield County (Stamford, CT). My wife is on assignment from work and I took time off (should a job opportunity arise, I would return to stay longer).

Anyway, as I will have time, should somebody have a tip for a road trip, some cool nature spots/parks, events... please let me know. So far, in May I will be traveling/shooting at the Ragnar Cape Cod relay race which I'm looking forward to as I like Cape Cod and liked the Ragnar Adirondacks last year. Later I would like to do a loop with Niagara, Toronto and Montreal.

Also, should somebody from the area want to meet and talk, or have an assistant at a cool job, I would like some interesting experience.

Aaand, in case you will be selling some cheap-ish, dependable car in early May (or want to rent it out for 3 months), lets hear it ;)

Thank you,

Stig

Harriman State Park and the adjacent Bear Mountain State Park, have over 200 miles of hiking trails. It's an hour drive from Stamford, CT.

Great trails, views, beaches, camp sites and even a zoo. I started going there in 1995 and got hooked on photography because of it!
