It has taught me a valuable lesson. I do have flash and it is sometimes needed. However, I used to really blast with the power, always. I've discovered that I don't need to do that. When I did the subject would take on an almost plastic look or what some have told me, a "cooked" look. I recently sold off 7 Canon flashes thinking they were not powerful enough. I've learned different since then and now regret selling them. I don't do this for a living and don't think I could yet. But I do hope to make enough money to support my hobby... one of these days.
